TPx Communications incident

ConnectWise Cloud Backup Service Interruption

Ongoing since 08:48 PM UTC, affecting Microsoft 365.

monitoring Oct 29, 2026, 10:01 PM UTC

TPx continues to actively investigate all customer Microsoft 365 environments that use the impacted ConnectWise Cloud Backup service, assessing potential security impacts and taking appropriate remediation measures. Support cases have been opened for all customers using this service, and we're sharing investigation results and any necessary next steps directly through those cases as our reviews are completed. ConnectWise announced on October 28 that it is beginning phased restoration of its Cloud Backup service using a new, security-hardened application. This process requires Microsoft 365 environments to be reauthorized before backup and restoration operations can resume. TPx will coordinate the reauthorization process through existing customer support cases, including any steps that require customer involvement. The availability of ConnectWise's restoration process does not mean that backups have resumed for all TPx customers. Customers should not re-enable previously disabled ConnectWise or SkyKick applications and should await TPx guidance before making changes to their connections. TPx continues to work directly with ConnectWise as restoration progresses. Our customer security investigations also remain underway, and we'll continue providing updates as meaningful developments occur.
