We are currently investigating an issue where Clerk JS cannot be downloaded, preventing sign in or sign up when using Clerk components. We believe this is related to DNS clerk.[your_domain].com "clerk.[your_domain].com": http://clerk.domain.com, and are working to discover the cause and scope of the issue.

We have observed that failures to load Clerk JS (reported by dashboard.clerk.com: http://dashboard.clerk.com) last occurred 30minutes ago, and this would correlate with failures reported from Clerk applications. We are in contact with our DNS providers to understand the root cause.

We continue to work with our DNS provider to discover the source of the issue. We currently believe approximately 0.37% of traffic was impacted by being unable to resolve DNS of the CDN that provides ClerkJS.

Our DNS provider is is having an outage, which has caused most of our major services not to resolve. We're currently investigating actively.

Clerk services are unable to be resolved via DNS due to a provider outage, cached DNS may be keeping things up temporarily

In order to mitigate this issue temporarily, we recommend updating your DNS settings as such: CNAME `accounts.` -> `worker.clerkprod-cloudflare.net` CNAME `clerk.` -> `worker.clerkprod-cloudflare.net`

For fastest manual recovery, we still recommend updating your own DNS records manually: CNAME `accounts.` -> `worker.clerkprod-cloudflare.net` CNAME `clerk.` -> `worker.clerkprod-cloudflare.net` We also have updated our nameservers to resolve to a fallback DNS provider, though we are observing that propagation is still underway. Once resolution occurs through either approach, most of Clerk's service will recover, but email-based authentication will still encounter validation issues. We are in the process of updating our fallback DNS provider with the appropriate email records.

We have restored DNS resolution for `accounts.clerk.services` and `frontend-api.clerk.services` - no need to update DNS records anymore. If you previously updated your DNS records, you can change them back (but if you leave them as they are, it will be fine, nothing will go down). Email/SMS services continue to be impacted by the DNS provider outage.

Our metrics have indicated that for a small percentage of customers, Apple mail services (any email with @icloud.com or @me.com) are consistently blocking emails sent from Clerk or marking them as spam. We have not seen any pattern around why this happens to some customers and not others, and have no information around why Apple is blocking emails. This appears to apply only to Apple email addresses, not email addresses from any other provider. We are actively investigating and trying to get more information from Apple around how this can be resolved.

On 2/7/2026 at approximately 11:00 UTC, the Apple blocks appear to have abruptly stopped, and have not recurred since, though we are carefully monitoring. We are continuing to follow up with Apple about this to determine the root cause of the issue and ensure it will not happen again.
