Between 9:19 – 13:20 UTC, we experienced user login issues which affected Admin, POS and support contact performance. A fix was implemented at 13:00 UTC which resolved the issue. The monitoring period for this issue has ended and no further impact has been observed.

Some merchants and buyers may encounter error messages when navigating Shopify admins and storefronts. We are investigating and will provide an update shortly.

Between 08:34 UTC - 09:34 UTC, we experienced outages for Shopify Admins, storefronts, and checkouts on some stores due to an issue affecting backend services. We are aware of an issue with Klarna, which may be affecting checkouts using this gateway, and other related performance issues.

We are still investigating degraded performance issues with the Klarna payment gateway for some merchants and buyers. Please also refer to Klarna's status page for their latest updates while we continue to monitor the impacts to Shopify shops here.

We've identified the root cause as an outage at Twilio, a service Shopify uses to connect live support calls and chats. Merchants may experience long wait times or be unable to connect with a specialist. Updates are available at status.twilio.com. We'll provide another update when we have more information to share.

Twilio is deploying a fix and we're starting to see live support connections recover. Some merchants may still be unable to connect with a specialist by phone or chat. We'll continue monitoring and provide another update when the issue is fully resolved.

The issue affecting live support by phone and chat due to a Twilio outage is now fully resolved. Merchants can now connect with live support without issue. Our monitoring period  has ended, and we have observed no further impact.
