  1. monitoring Sep 02, 2026, 04:46 PM UTC

We are seeing our SMS provider block a high percentage of SMS messages to certain foreign countries, especially Philippines, Mexico, and Pakistan. We'd advise using an alternate MFA method (e.g authenticator app) vs SMS if you have a non-US phone number (). If that is not possible, our support engineering team can allow-list any current numbers if you reach out to us.

  2. resolved Sep 09, 2026, 12:38 PM UTC

We are resolving this as we are no longer seeing customer reports. We still strongly advise using an alternate MFA method (e.g authenticator app) vs SMS if you have a non-US phone number

  3. identified Sep 14, 2026, 02:10 PM UTC

We are seeing increased block rates for SMS Messages to certain non-US countries (e.g Mexico and the Philippines) Please use app-based MFA if trying to sign in from one of those countries.
