Started Oct 22, 2026, 02:31 PM UTC· resolved Oct 22, 2026, 10:46 PM UTC

  1. investigating Oct 22, 2026, 02:31 PM UTC

EXN is currently investigating a potential power issue affecting Datahall 3 at Virtus LON1 Enfield. All racks is this Datahall are dual-fed (A+B), but it appears that one power feed has been lost. At this time, all services remain operational; however, they should be considered AT RISK due to the loss of redundancy. We will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.

  2. investigating Oct 22, 2026, 03:25 PM UTC

EXN appear to have lost all power in one rack which has caused a shutdown of our vDC enviroment and support portal. We are actively escalating this within Virtus. Please use [email protected] for communications.

  3. investigating Oct 22, 2026, 03:41 PM UTC

Power has been restored to the rack in question. Our teams are continuing efforts to restore the vDC platform.

  4. investigating Oct 22, 2026, 03:51 PM UTC

vDC resources are recovering. EXN are dispatching an engineer to site.

  1. investigating Jun 23, 2026, 07:43 PM UTC

We are currently investigating a potential power issue within Global Switch 2.

  2. investigating Jun 23, 2026, 07:59 PM UTC

Power appears to have returned, we're still waiting for information from the data centre and our teams are working on bringing online various internal systems hosted out of GS2, this includes our Client Portal. Support team is available on [email protected] in the interim.

  3. monitoring Jun 23, 2026, 09:03 PM UTC

Power has remained stable, internal services including the Client Portal are back up and functioning. Client vDC resources are now being verified.

  4. monitoring Jun 23, 2026, 09:31 PM UTC

Power has remained stable and services have been restored. If any clients require assistance, please raise a ticket by logging into our portal. We're still waiting for any official communications from Global Switch; however, we believe this power outage affected both feeds across multiple floors.

  5. monitoring Jun 24, 2026, 04:03 AM UTC

The DC has confirmed a brief power loss occurred at approximately 20:25 following a UK Power Networks (UKPN) power quality issue that triggered the site's protection systems. The site transferred to DRUPS at 20:35 as designed; during transfer, the DRUPS switched to bypass, causing an interruption. Power has since been restored to all racks. The site remains at risk. If you continue to experience issues, please log a case via the support portal with details of the affected device(s) and their location, and make use of any available workarounds or DR systems in the interim. We will provide a further update as soon as more information is available.

  6. monitoring Jun 24, 2026, 01:43 PM UTC

The DC has confirmed a plan to restore redundancy. For more details, we ask clients to raise a ticket via the usual channels.

  7. resolved Jun 26, 2026, 06:45 AM UTC

Both the A+B feeds are back on DRUPS and full redundancy has been restored.

Minor May 8, 2025 Power Incident – 4th Floor at Verne (formerly Volta) 3d 19h Volta (formerly Verne Global London)

Started May 08, 2025, 01:53 PM UTC· resolved May 12, 2025, 09:33 AM UTC

  1. investigating May 08, 2025, 01:53 PM UTC

EXN is currently investigating a potential power issue affecting the 4th floor at Verne (formerly Volta). All racks on this floor are dual-fed (A+B), but it appears that one power feed has been lost. At this time, all services remain operational; however, they should be considered AT RISK due to the loss of redundancy. Please note that racks on the 3rd floor appear to be unaffected. We will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.

  2. investigating May 08, 2025, 01:57 PM UTC

Verne have confirmed they are investigating an issue with UPS C. We will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.

  3. identified May 08, 2025, 02:32 PM UTC

Verne have isolated the faulty UPS and 3rd party engineers have been engaged. ETA to site is unknown at this time. We will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.

  4. monitoring May 08, 2025, 03:04 PM UTC

Power to the C2 riser appears to be restored, however we're still awaiting confirmation from Verne.

  5. monitoring May 08, 2025, 04:04 PM UTC

We've had some further information from Verne: "UPS C module 2 experienced a fault at around 14:40 and went offline. The fault generated smoke, resulting in a full evacuation of the data centre. The remaining modules took up the building load apart from some busbars on the 4th floor. This caused some racks to lose one of their supplies. All dual fed equipment would have been unaffected but any single fed equipment connected to those busbars would have lost power. We have now bypassed the faulty UPS C module and restored power to the whole site. Our UPS contractor has been called out and are currently on route. The onsite team are still investigating to determine why the 4th floor was affected in this way. Further updates to follow."

  6. monitoring May 08, 2025, 05:30 PM UTC

UPS contractor has arrived to site and will begin investigations. All power feeds are up and services remain stable.

  7. monitoring May 09, 2025, 06:06 AM UTC

Replacement parts are required for UPS C, module 2. ETA to be confirmed. Load is currently supported across modules C1 and C3 at N+1 redundancy. Update will be sent out as soon as the part is replaced and the module is back online.

  8. resolved May 12, 2025, 09:33 AM UTC

UPS C2 module 2 has now been replaced and tested by Vertiv. UPS system C2 is now back on load with no issues and all alarms cleared. Monitoring of system will continue to take place by on-site engineers. The faulty module is due to be sent back to Vertiv for further analysis and a full incident report is to follow.
